In each issue of HemAware, we spotlight someone in the bleeding disorders community. In this issue, we speak with Daniela Delgado, 9, from Stamford, Connecticut
Daniela Delgado has a memory of being in the kitchen with her parents, around age 4, and waving a green scraper in the air.
“That scraper was my magic wand, and I said ‘I want to make cakes for sick kids,’” she recalled recently.
STAMFORD -- 8 year old Daniela Delgado has always loved to whip-up treats. Since she was little, she has watched her parents who make cakes for a living.
“When I was four years old, it just came to me,” remembers Daniela Delgado who cooked-up a beautiful idea while she was in the kitchen. “I just thought, ‘Hey, I want to bake cakes for kids with severe illnesses or disabilities.'”
